Our Elk hunting areas are area 84 and 86 south of Jackson Hole.
These hunts are 7 day, horseback hunts from our comfortable wall
tent camp located on East Bondurant Creek, only an hour ride into
the National Forest. We host a maximum of six hunters in camp at
one time and provide one guide for each pair of hunters. Private guides
are available upon request. Our Elk population has been increasing over the
last few years, without predation problems from wolves and grizzly bears;
we are seeing a larger number of calves surviving every year.
The hunter camp consists of interior log frame tents, an extra large cook
& dinning tent, and even an outhouse. The sleeping tents are set up for
two hunters per tent with cots, sleeping pads, and woodstoves for those chilly fall nights.
Our oversized cook tent is heated by a large woodstove, has a propane kitchen and lighting,
, and we keep a fulltime cook in camp.
Prices for 2008 Elk hunts is $3,500. This price is all inclusive except
for tips to guides and/or cooks. If you would like to request a private guide, the fee is an additional $500.
Extra days beyond the seven days provided are $500/day.

It’s not uncommon to see several bears in any given day. Due to the excellent population, our success rate on bear hunts has been very high.
Spring bear hunts
If you can’t wait until fall, this is a great way to get out and do some hunting in the “off season.” Wyoming is blooming with green trees, flowers and fast flowing rivers; it’s a
beautiful time of year to be out and about.
Spring bear hunting is very exciting and bears are constantly on the move after spending the winter in hibernation. Most of the hunting is done over bait sites in the evening from
ground blinds or tree stands. We have many different bait sites in many different drainages to maximize your chances of harvesting a bear. Bear season usually runs from the first of May
through the 15th of June with an archery season beginning in the middle of April. Licenses can be purchased over the counter when you arrive to Jackson Hole or Alpine.
The cost of your bear hunt does not include lodging or meals. We can provide you with suggestions and can make arrangements for you if you would like.
Depending on the dates of your hunt, we can house you in our wall-tent camp for free. A $1,000 deposit is required to make your hunting reservation.
Fall bear hunts
If you were unsuccessful in your elk, deer, or moose application, or if you want to add a little more excitement
to your already booked hunt, consider hunting black bear in the fall. Since there is no application and drawing process
involved, you can come to Wyoming and buy your license when you get here!
These hunts are conducted from our fall hunting camp where your lodging and meals are all – inclusive. From this
backcountry camp we can hunt 360 degrees with horseback mobility.
